What we look for

• Reusable or refillable formats where they make sense.
• Natural-fiber, recycled or lower-waste material options when supplier information supports them.
• Durability and everyday usefulness.
• Reduced reliance on unnecessary single-use products.
• Suppliers that can serve U.S. customers reliably.

How we use sustainability language

Terms such as organic, GOTS-certified, recycled, biodegradable, compostable, plant-based, BPA-free and sustainably sourced have different meanings. We use those terms on a product page only when the available supplier information supports that specific claim. “Vegan” does not automatically mean “sustainable,” and “natural” does not automatically mean “organic.”

Packaging

Our long-term packaging standard is branded, lower-waste packaging using responsibly selected materials. For supplier-fulfilled individual orders, packaging can vary by supplier. For assembled kits, branded eco-conscious packaging is used only when the selected fulfillment partner has confirmed that service for the kit.
